Once hooked they run powerfully toward structure and trust in your tackle is essential to persuade them back away again to more open water...

These brutish relatives of the rather more genteel Permit - are the true ‘Gangsters of the Flats’.
They strike as a ‘wolf pack’ with ferocious speed - terrorizing flats, mangroves , bays and open ocean habitats alike.
Their power almost beyond belief!!
Whether Yellowtail or Schoolmaster, Mangrove or Mutton... the Snappers are a hugely successful family that fight tremendously hard for their size...
Their willingness to rush from cover to grab a passing lure - or crush down on top water lures makes them a light tackle favorite!
Last - but certainly not least...
The Barracuda is perhaps the ‘Flats Universe Boss’ - lurking motionless often in very skinny water - before a lightning strike that is often too quick to process...
Their razor like teeth make short work of anything that comes into contact - but when hooked making searing runs and often impossibly high jumps...
